DE Publishing was started in April of 1998 as a mechanism for Steve Tyree to
self-publish books for intermediate to advanced readers. We hope to offer more titles in the
future. The types of books we intend to publish will bridge the gap between scientist and
advanced amateurs or hobbyist. Our first series of books (RBSC Series) attempts to define
the current complex scientific knowledge concerning Reef Building Stony Corals in a format
that makes it accessable to more readers. The second series of books (Captive Oceans Series)
will cover specific types of ocean organisms that have been overlooked, are poorly understood
or have been considered difficult to maintain in captivity. We will approach these organisms as
if they are being integrated into specific natural filtration niches of a captive system. This unique
approach will combine accurate scientific knowledge with actual captive maintenance experience.
The third series of books (Captive Maintenance Advanced Techniques or CMAT) covers specific methodologies for setting up captive systems. DE Publishing considers the information
within these books to be extremelly valuable.
